Sleep Trial, Returns & Refund Policy

Mattress Sleep Trial — 90 Nights

30-Night Break-In Period

Your body needs time to adjust to a new mattress, and our memory foam needs time to settle into its final feel. For these reasons, we require a 30-night break-in period before any comfort return can be initiated. This is not optional — the great majority of customers who feel uncertain in the first two weeks adapt to their new mattress by week four.

How the Trial Works

  • Nights 1–30: break-in period. Please give your mattress a fair chance during this time.
  • Nights 31–90: if your mattress is not the right fit, you may request a return or an exchange.
  • After night 90: the Sleep Trial ends. Your mattress remains covered under the 15-year Limited Warranty for manufacturing defects.

Free Exchange Option

If your mattress isn’t the right fit, you can exchange it for a different model or firmness within the trial window at no charge. Our customer service team will help you choose a better match. We strongly encourage this option — most customers find a model that works for them with a single exchange.

Full Refund Option

If you prefer a full refund rather than an exchange, a $99 return processing fee will be deducted from your refund. The refund will be issued to your original payment method within 7–10 business days after the mattress is returned, donated, or otherwise processed.

Return Logistics — Your Two Options

Customers are responsible for coordinating return shipping. We offer two paths:

Option 1: Donate locally (recommended). Many local shelters, charities, and assistance organizations accept gently used mattresses. If you donate your mattress to a registered charity and provide us with a copy of the donation receipt, we will waive the requirement to coordinate return shipping and process your refund or exchange immediately upon receipt of documentation. This option is faster for you and supports your local community.

Option 2: Coordinate return shipping. If donation isn’t feasible, you may arrange return shipping at your own cost. Please contact our customer service team for guidance on packaging and shipping requirements. We do not offer pickup service at this time.

Trial Conditions

  • One trial per household / shipping address.
  • A mattress protector is strongly recommended. Mattresses returned in stained, soiled, or damaged condition will not be accepted.
  • Original packaging and law tag must be intact.
  • Trial begins on the date of original purchase (not delivery date).

Pillow Returns — 30 Days, Sealed and Unused Only

Pillows may be returned within 30 days of purchase only if they are sealed in their original packaging and have not been used or opened. Once a pillow has been removed from its packaging, it cannot be returned for comfort reasons.

Why We Require This

Pillows are personal-contact products. Once opened, a pillow comes into direct contact with skin, hair, sweat, and respiratory droplets, and it cannot be resold to another customer — federal and state sanitary regulations prohibit the resale of used bedding. This policy is industry standard and is in place to protect the health and confidence of every Blu Sleep customer.

Exception: pillows that arrive defective or damaged on opening (wrong product, shipping damage, visible manufacturing defect) will be replaced at our cost. Please contact us within 7 days of delivery if you believe you have received a defective pillow.


Other Product Returns

  • Mattress toppers: 30 days, unused and in original packaging.
  • Mattress protectors: 30 days, sealed and unused only (same hygiene rationale as pillows).
  • Italian linens: 30 days, unused and in original packaging.
  • Pet beds: not eligible for comfort return (hygiene). Manufacturing defects covered under the 90-day Limited Warranty.
